The Farm Credit associations of Oklahoma are donating $250,000 to establish a professorship at Oklahoma State University focused on agricultural finance. [KOKO Oklahoma City]
The gift qualifies for a dollar-for-dollar match from the state because it were made before the parameters of a state matching program were changed earlier this week. The gift first will be matched by funds from a $100 million gift given to Oklahoma State in May by billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens. This means the associations' gift will provide a $1 million benefit to the university.
